Command Palette

The command palette is a powerful set of tools that give you access to a lot of Parcel functionality right at your fingertips. Launch the command palette at any time by pressing CMD SHIFT P (on Mac) or CTRL SHIFT P (on Windows). You can also launch it by clicking the hamburger menu in the top right of the sidebar. Navigate through the command palette using arrow keys and Enter, the cursor, or keep typing and press Enter when you get to the right result. Results in the command palette are context dependent and may change depending on which page your on.

You can search for any of the headers in the command palette to be brought to that section.

The command palette lists shortcuts on the right for various commands, which you can use anywhere in the workspace. For a full list of all available shortcuts, see the Shortcuts page.

Navigation

There are several shortcuts for navigation at the top of the command palette. Selecting any of them will bring you to that specified page.

The command palette contains a long list of available commands and options. The user navigates to and clicks on the "Open preferences" option, which replaces the command palette window with the Preferences pane. The user closes the Preferences pane and re-opens the command palette. The user clicks on the "Open snippets" option, which redirects the webpage to the Snippets page.

Known bug: If you launch the command palette while Preferences is open, you won't be able to use it. Press Esc to close the command palette and Esc again to close Preferences.

Workspace

The command palette workspace tools let you easily navigate to an existing file, create a new email/folder, close the editor(s), and copy sharing links.

Preview

The preview section of the command palette gives you access to nearly all of the functionality you can access in the Preview window.

If you click "Send Test", it will prompt you for an email address and then send the test email when you press Enter. You can only enter one test email address in the command prompt. If you need to send a test to multiple recipients or to an email group, do so from the Send Test button in the upper right corner.

Note: you cannot launch the command palette while the Preview window has mouse focus. Click elsewhere on the editor to release the mouse focus and make the command palette available.

Preferences

The preferences section of the command palette lets you toggle word wrap, and change font size.

Editor Commands

When the editor is in focus, the command palette will launch by default with Editor Commands already in place. If you want other commands, simply back out the Editor Commands in the text box and then search for the command you want. If you want Editor Commands again, begin typing Editor Commands and then press Enter when it comes up.
